This year, CarpetWays proudly celebrates 25 incredible years in business – a quarter of a century of helping families across Scotland, Cumbria and the North Lakes transform their homes with quality flooring at unbeatable prices.

It all began in Falkirk, when Phil Kelly opened the very first CarpetWays store in 2000. What started as a small, local flooring shop quickly grew – the store soon moved across the road into larger premises, and before long, CarpetWays was expanding across Scotland and Northern England.
Today, we have thriving branches in Carlisle, Dumfries, Falkirk, Kendal, Hawick, Motherwell and Workington, proudly serving customers in every corner of our region.

A True Family Business
CarpetWays has always been – and continues to be – a family-run business. From Phil Kelly’s first store, the company was passed to his eldest son, Ned Kelly, and is now proudly led by Phil Kelly Jnr, the youngest son. The Kelly family’s commitment to honesty, quality, and unbeatable value has remained at the heart of everything we do.
Our strong family ties don’t stop there. Our sister company, FSL, is now run by Ned, meaning we source directly from the wholesaler. This allows us to continue our long-standing tradition of buying in bulk to get the very best prices – and passing those savings directly on to you.

From Warehouse to Your Home
At CarpetWays, we like to say we keep things in the family – from wholesale, to retail, to fitting in your family home. Our team of experienced flooring specialists and fitters share the same family values that built this business from day one: trust, care, and great service.

As we celebrate this milestone, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to all our loyal customers and local communities who have supported us over the past 25 years. Whether you’ve popped in for a new carpet, chosen vinyl for your kitchen, or kitted out your whole home, you’re part of the CarpetWays story.
Here’s to the next 25 years of unbeatable prices, great service, and helping even more families love their floors.
